Air amplifiers

suitable for air and nitrogen

Air amplifiers, said also pressure multiplier, works with same functional principle as Gas Booster.  Substantial difference between the two is that air amplifiers do not have a distance piece between air motor and high-pressure gas section. Therefore they are not compatible for use with all gases. They are mainly used to increase compressed air pressure and other inert and not dangerous gases.  It is essential in use with gases to have adequate ventilation in order not to saturate working environment in case of leak from multiplier due to wear of seals.

Air amplifier, said also pressure intensifier converts compressed air into high pressure up to 10.000 psi (700 bar).
Outlet pressure is equal to the drive air pressure multiplied by Gas Booster pressure ratio. By adjusting drive air pressure it is possible to manage outlet pressure. Once the pressure multiplier reaches the pre-set pressure it will automatically stall and maintain the pressure. In case of a pressure drop downstream, pump will automatically start and run until the set pressure is reached again.

Benefits:

  •  Intrinsically safe no electrical feed required
  • Drive air lubrication is not required
  • Can replace a dedicated high pressure compressor
  • Outlet pressure is maintained without consuming any energy
  • Ideal for START/STOP applications under load
  • Automatic restart in case of pressure drop downstream
  • Stall pressure adjustable
  • Intrinsic safety. Also suitable for hazardous environments
  • Compact, lightweight, robust and weather proof
  • Easy to incorporate and use
  • Easy to incorporate automatic controls (PLC, proportional regulator…)
  • ISO 9001 : 2008 & AS9100-2009 certified quality system

Main applications:

  • Compressed air line pressure increase
  • Mechanical seals
  • Accumulator charging
  • Gas transfer
  • Gas Injection (foaming)
  • Tyre inflation
  • Pneumatic tools
